Business Partner
(definition) = A Business Partner is an entity who is involved in terms of
business relevant relationship to the manufacturing company.
Example =
Wholesalers, Retailers, Distributors, Vendors, Employees etc..
BP is categorized into 3 parts.

Person (e.g., Anil-employee, Retailer,
Wholesaler)
·
Organization (e.g., Reliance Fresh, Dept. of
Organization, Tata Supplying)
·
Group (eg., Lion’s Club, Mahila Anganabadi)
To maintain the information about the business is called Business Partner Record.
BP record is categorized into 2 parts
·
General Data (This includes basic information
like name, address, bank details, tax details of BP)
·
Relationship Data (Under this view we will
establish relationship b/w two or more BP records)
Role Description BP Role
·
A Party who placed order to purchase goods Sold-To-Party.
·
A Party who receives goods Ship-To-Party.
·
The Party on whose name invoice is created Bill-To-Party.
·
The Party who settle Invoice Payer.
·
The Party which supplies Raw Material Vendor/Supplier.
·
Point of Contact at cost Contact
Person
·
An individual working for Mfg. Company Employee.
·
The entity who sells similar product in market Competitor.
Object ID of BP = BUS1006………….T-Code
= <BP>
Click the button Organization.
For each & every records have its unique identification
is called Grouping.
Number Ranges:
·
Internal Number Ranges (Automatically processed
by system, Decentralized, Numerical)
·
External Number Ranges (Manually processed by
end-user, Centralized, Alpha-Numeric)
Grouping = Internal
Number Assignment……BP Role = Sold-To-Party.
Click Create.
In Address tab, Mention,
Title = Mr., Name = TEST BP, Search Term ½ = TEST
Street /House Number = 123456 ADD-1, Post Code/City =
123456, Country = IN, Time Zone = INDIA.
Go to the Address
Overview tab, to create an address
under address overview section,
Click the button Create
under address overview tab, maintain address and click continue.
Repeat the process for creating more address.
Scroll down Address Usage Section. Select or highlight the
required address type. Ex-send bill and click create button, select the
required address from the dialog box and click continue.
Create Continue
Repeat the process for assigning other address to the
required address type.
Go to the Identification
tab, maintain the required information. Ex-ID types & tax information
of BP.
Go to the Control
tab, here you are controlling a data of BP, Click the button Calling Hours,
Specify, Period = 1 Year, Rule = Weekly periodic calling
hours, week rule = every week, maintain required exception, and click copy.
Maintain goods receiving and visiting hours.
Go to the tab Payment
Transaction, payment transactions can be done under 3 different ways- 1)
Cash payment, 2) Cheque or online, 3) Credit cards (Payment Cards) these
informations can be maintained under payment transactions.
Go to the tab Long
Texts, select Correspondence.
Write some text = Text For BP.
Go to the tab Marketing
Attributes, Choose Attribute Set 4LIVING Template & Click on Assign
Attribute Set.
Click Continue. Repeat the process for rest two rows.
Click the button Sales Area Data and Assign Sales Area.
Click the button Relationships.
Specify, Relationship Cat. = Has Contact Person, Relationship
to BP = 400290 (Press F4 to open search window, go to tab Partners by BP role
and specify BP role = Contact person, click continue and select the required
contact person BP)………Press enter.
Contact Person Relationship Create: General Data window will
open.
Specify Contact Person information like VIP = Management,
Department = Sales, Function = Head of Sales, Authority = Sole authority. Then Assign Company Address.
Go to Sales
&Distribution tab and maintain the required calling and visiting hours.
Go to the Usage tab,
Click the button select and choose the required Sales Area and specify, the
partner function = contact person…………Click Continue.
A new tab page will be created for every relationship
category we defined.
Specify, Relationship Category = Has the employee
responsible, Press F4 (Choose the required employee responsible)
Maintain the required Sales Area and specify, partner
function = Brand Sales Manager.
Now when a relationship is created between BO a reverse
relationship will be created automatically. To check further data save the BP
records and open the contact person BP record and go to relationship tab and
see the assigned relationship.
